 Jaime's hobby is writing, so she is always looking for free software for writers. If she would just use some of the neat stuff she's found, she might actually get something published!

A really neat dictionary/ thesaurus developed by Princeton University. There is also a Word Web Pro , but the free version is not bad at all. If you ever get stuck searching for the right word, give it a try.
This is a Writing ORGANizer (WORGAN). It does everything from tracking submissions to brain storming. A slick little program definitely worth checking out. This is share ware but the price is real reasonable. ($15.00 US , for $30 the author will include free up dates for 1 year.) In any case it's free to try. No nag screens.
Final Draft Screenwriting Software Final Draft is used by Tom Hanks, Oliver Stone and many others. The full version isn't cheap but they do have a free demo.

Ever see a fantasy novel that DIDN'T have a map at the beginning? Me either. Even if you don't write spec-fic, get it any way. It's very versatile and easier than MS Paint. You could even use it to design a landscaping plan for your home!
A fun little program to give writers ideas and/or help get past writers block. Just type in a name or situation and draw a rune!
A visual manager of notes and ideas for your book, article or screenplay. Has a built in web browser so you can integrate you web research into the data base for easy recall. Too many features to list here. Check it out yourself.
